Wonderful i got this after reading the NYTimes review yesterday and it did not disappoint. Fast, delightful read.Lots of laughs here I have a hard time finding fiction that holds my interest, but this did. The main character has lots of quirky thoughts that kept me laughing through the first half of the book. This is a book about off beat people who don’t fit in, poverty and the privilege of wealth, phoniness and sincerity, being betrayed by people you love and finding redemption. I feel it is a very modern book, more so than anything I’ve read in a long while. It lifted me up in spirit in a time that has steadily dragged me down. I hope to read more from this author.A new Vonnegut F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, "Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them."YES! They have children that spontaneously combust!Kevin Wilson is quickly becoming this generation's Vonnegut. He takes a simple story - a woman hires an old friend to take care of the children of her husband's first marriage - and gives it the hint of the absurd. The children have a habit of bursting into flame when upset. How she deals with this and fixes her own life quickly suck the reader in. The characters are believable and the actions quick with comments about wealth and power.I pre-ordered this, and it jumped to the top of my 'To Be Read' list as soon as it appeared on my Kindle. I was not disappointed. Read this and then go back and read his other work. You will not be disappointed.
